ATOLL PARTNERS WITH THE LARGEST FESTIVALS IN THE REGION.
Jazz sous les pommiers is a festival taking place every year in Coutances (Manche), France. The festival is traditionally held during Ascension week (Saturday to Saturday, except in 2015 when the edition begins on May 8, this day being a public holiday).
The highly eclectic lineup ranges from New Orleans jazz to electronic music. It also includes many street performances. The guest artists range from local musicians to major international stars.
The Papillons de Nuit festival is a music festival that has been taking place since 2001 in Saint-Laurent-de-Cuves, in the Manche department. Four local associations sought to enliven the village of Saint-Laurent-de-Cuves by organizing annual concerts in the community hall. Given the success of the initiative, the open-air festival finally saw the light of day in 2001. The event organized by the R.O.C. en Baie association is generally held during the Pentecost weekend. Each of the three evenings is devoted to a musical genre: rap and reggae, rock and electro, and finally French song. Papillons de Nuit has welcomed artists like Iggy Pop, Les Rita Mitsouko, The Hives, Indochine, Charlie Winston, and Zebda.
The Grandes Marées festival is part of a territorial project and a dynamic of developing social and cultural ties in the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel.
In addition to its artistic commitment, the association defends human values and proximity which are the essential drivers for stimulating a local cultural and economic dynamic in partnership with the actors of the territory.
A festival is a promise, a meeting, the combination of forms of artistic expression and sensitive and thoughtful humanity, like the moon and the sun which align and harmonize to offer us a marvellous spectacle: the highest tides in Europe in the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel.
